HSE SPECIALIST - ASPP

Vaiano Cremasco – Italy

The ideal candidate will enter the HSE (Health Safety & Environment) team to support all the operative activities for the compliance to all HSE company programs, proving help and ongoing support to line-managers and personnel.
The job holder will report to the HSE Manager – RSPP.
Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • To provide management support the HSE activities on all company sites to ensure that company programs about HSE are implemented
  • To prepare and assist the implementation of policies and procedure and to prepare regular reporting for the HSE Manager for company management
  • To support the HSE Manager in analyzing and finding risks to implement all necessary measures to ensure safety of workers and health at workplace in compliance with current law
  • To implement HSE improvement projects defining autonomously the activities ensuring they are completed according to deadlines
  • To attend and conduct HSE audits according to company rules at sites and/or at of third party companies
  • To be a professional trainer for HSE training especially for mandatory training according to Italian Law 81/2008 and related rules.
  • To plan and make training sessions on HSE for internal and external personnel, contributing  through a proactive approach to the improvement of HSE culture on prevention of accidents and safe behaviors
  • To participate and make information and training sessions for new starters on company and risks at work and on HSE company rules
  • To contribute to risk analysis of accidents and near misses and to implement improvement plans and defined corrective actions
  • To become a reference point for colleagues and to contribute to the management of third party companies working at sites ensuring they comply with company rules

Skills required:

  • Bachelor degree in Environment engineering, Chemistry, Management Engineering or any other scientific discipline
  • To be qualified as ASPP according to Italian law (mandatory updating)
  • A 3 to 5 year experience in an equivalent role or a consultant in HSE issues
  • Good written and spoken knowledge of English, knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus
  • IT knowledge: Very good knowledge of the Office package
  • Deep knowledge of the Italian HSE law and its requirements
  • Good interpersonal relationship and teamwork; ability to work with all levels of management
  • Good communication and ability to synthesize
  • Effective workload planning, respect of deadlines, to be able at prioritizing and managing stress
  • Proactivity, precision and attention to details/numbers
